Pasture Care are the first enterprises in the country to offer the services of a Zürn Top Cut Collect harvester. This innovative machine was designed for harvesting weeds that grow above a crop canopy such as black-grass, rye grass, brome and wild oats. Using a mechanical weed harvester is a labour-efficient alternative for tackling herbicide-resistant weeds, and helps to avoid some of the costs and disadvantages of ploughing or spraying.

The Zürn Top Cut Collect has a 12m working width and we run it on narrow wheels to minimise crop disturbance. The seed heads are cut and channelled into a 7m3 hopper for the customer.
We offer this service to organic and conventional farmers throughout the UK. The adjustable cutting mechanism can be used not only for weeds, and we welcome enquiries from customers interested in the potential for using the Zürn Top Cut Collect for other purposes such as harvesting flowers, wildflower seed harvesting and harvesting native grass seeds.
